This Grand Homerton fountain pen is made from Woolly Mammoth Molar / Tooth & Nikko Blue & Black Rippled Ebonite for the lining, threads and section.
This is genuine Woolly Mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius) fossil dating back to the last Ice Age. These pen blanks were prepared from the molar teeth recovered from the skeletal remains whose authenticity is based on the following:
Source: The mammoth fossils were found and excavated in the Republic of Sakha, Russian Federation, from the depth of approximately 20 meters (66 feet) below the permafrost surface. The geographic location and excavation depth place the age of these fossils at approximately 20,000 years.
This pen is one of a kind, completely hand turned, including the grip / nib section.
The pen features a large Size 8 Bock Polished steel nib, available in Bi-Colour and These are available in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium and Broad
The refilling system is a Schmidt K5 premium ink converter, but can also utilise a standard international cartridge.
