A beautiful unique one of a kind writing instrument
Handmade Fountain pen from Elm Burr and Brass inlay.
Elm Burr can be fill with natural air pockets and as it dries these open up. So rather than fill them with sawdust I use brass powder to fill the voids and make a feature of them.
The wood has been stabalised and is fully lined with "Rocky Top" resin from Diamond Cast, the same material has been used for the section and threads
This pen is one of a kind, completely hand turned, including the grip / nib section and triple start thread. The use of this material is possible only through the complex and time intensive stabilisation process of the wood which is all done by myself in my workshop
This pen is fitted with a Gold Plated Medium size 6 Bock nib. This pen can also take a Bock in the following platings, Bi Colour, Gold Plated or Polished Steel
I can supply the nibs in the following sizes, Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad and Extra Broad.
The refilling system is a Schmidt K5 premium ink converter, but can also utilise a standard international cartridge.
